A wealth of information is available online to help parents/carers navigate some of the complexities of parenting as well as providing information about children’s wellbeing and resilience. 

NSPCC

The NSPCC offers information and advice on a huge range of topics from early childhood through to the teenage years.  Much of this focuses on how parents/carers can help keep their children make good decisions, both in the real world and online, and keep themselves safe and healthy, both mentally and physically.

This includes information and advice on topics such as Healthy Relationships, Dealing with Bullying, Online Safety, Parental Mental Health and many other issues besides.

THINKUKNOW

Thinkuknow is the educational platform of the Child Exploitation and Online Protection Command (CEOP), which is a command of the UK’s National Crime Agency (NCA).  CEOP aim to bring those exploiting children online, either from with the UK or internationally, to the UK courts.

The Thinkuknow website provides information for professionals working with young people (such as teachers or social workers) to help keep them safe online, as well as providing important information for parents/carers, which you can access by clicking here.  The site also provides useful links for what to do if you have concerns about your child in the online world and about steps you can take to help keep them safe online.
