Year 9 PGL Trip
By Lucy Sturton (9RS)
Over the May Bank Holiday weekend, 50 Year 9 students and six staff went on an amazing trip to PGL as a reward for their efforts in the Year 9 Leadership Scheme and end of year reports.
Arriving late Friday afternoon, we settled in, unpacked and headed to the forest to play a big game of Ambush! Mr Roy was caught hiding in a spikey bush, whilst Miss Joyce and Miss Hallett chose to lay on the floor and no one could find them!
Over the next two days both the students and staff took part in lots of fun activities including raft building, giant swing, rifle shooting, quad biking, trapeze, zip wire and archery! Everyone loved it and got involved, even in the raft building where Mr Smith and Mr Haines ended up in the water!
After the activities we had a chance to relax and visit the shop or go to the sports hall to watch the FA cup final. After three very tiring days, Cheam High students left PGL and arrived back home exhausted, but happy! Thank you to all the amazing PGL staff who helped make the trip so good, along with all of our teachers; Miss Joyce, Mrs Nurse, Miss Hallett, Mr Roy, Mr Haines and Mr Smith. The trip was amazing!
