Year 13 Geography Students take a trip to Slapton
The Year 13 geographers recently visited Slapton Sands in Devon for four days of fieldwork as part of their A Level course.
They travelled by minibus and stayed in the Field Study Centre in Slapton where all meals were provided but they had to make their own packed lunch.
During the field trip students were led by one of the centre's tutors as they visited various beaches, as well as a place called Totnes, to collect data for their independent investigations.
As well as completing fieldwork during the day they also worked in the evenings and are now in an excellent position to produce their coursework.
The students were all fantastic, despite the physical demands of the coastal walks, and a real credit to the school. We even managed to make a video of the trip.
