Years 10, 12 and 13 have a Chef Visit
On Friday 23rd February Paul Jervis, a chef from Westminster Kingsway College, came into school to work with Year 10, 12 and 13 Food Technology students.
The focus of the sessions was for the students to understand the importance of food presentation.
The students watched a demonstration of how pork fillet, mustard mash, caramelised onions and an apple gravy were made and then presented to a professional standard. Paul gave the students valuable tips on cooking and presentation techniques and also answered questions on the Catering Industry.
We are hoping that Paul will come back to Cheam to do some more work with the students soon as the session was a huge (and tasty!) success.
