Dear Parents/Carers,
Arrangements for the return to school from 8th March
We are very excited to be welcoming back all the students to Cheam High School from Monday 8th March. We have organised the following plan to ensure we keep all staff and students as safe as possible on their return to school.
If you have not already done so please ensure that you complete the form, either giving or refusing consent for your child to have a test on site, by Monday 1st March at 9.00am:

Mass Testing
The government has asked all secondary schools to offer lateral flow tests to all students and staff prior to returning to school. The first of these has to be completed before students can return to the classroom. Students will have 3 tests in school and then be provided with home testing kits. These are not compulsory.
The first of these tests will take place on Monday 8th and Tuesday 9th March, students will return home following their tests. Years 10, 11 and 13 will resume normal school on Tuesday 9th while the remaining year groups will return on Wednesday 10th.

Please note, if your child has had a positive Covid test result within the past 90 days, then we do not advise them to take the lateral flow tests as they may give a false positive result. Please let the School office know if this is the case so that we have a record (office@cheam.sutton.sch.uk).
Separate emails will be sent to each year group with specific times for each tutor group to attend school on Monday 8th and Tuesday 9th March for testing. It is important that all those who have consented to testing attend at their specific time and location. Students will return home after testing on these days.
