Support

At Cheam High Sixth Form we pride ourselves on the excellent support offered to all of our Post 16 students.

From enrolment and their first day in sixth form, through Year 12 and to results day at the end of Year 13, the support that each and every student receives is second to none.

IMG 1012We are fully aware that some students will need more support than others but all students will receive the necessary support to help them achieve their potential.

Each student is part of a tutor group. Registration time each day with their tutor consists of a tutor programme which encourages a sense of identity and community. Various tutor events throughout the year contribute to the Community Cup competition.

The Sixth Form Management Team is highly committed to students achieving success. We have an open door policy and are available at all times during the day.

A wide range of support is also given to students' "Next Step" after sixth form. This includes extensive preparation for university, apprenticeships or getting a job. We use a wide range of external speakers and former students who give useful insight into these areas. This also includes information for those students wishing to take a gap year.

We want every student to make the most of their sixth form experience at Cheam High School, therefore, communication between school and home is vital. So please call or email if you have any concerns or questions, even if you think your request is trivial. Sixth Form is a new experience for students and for parents and we are here to help.
