RHS Wisley: ECO Trip

In the final week of term, a group of 12 students participated in a brilliant day out at the Royal Horticultural Society’s (RHS) Wisley Gardens, one of the world’s most famous and impressive gardens. Having toured the site and learned about the bio-diversity boosting impact of a wide range of plant-life, students and staff presented a slide show and talk in the RHS’s new Education Centre, explaining the eco-development of Cheam High School in recent years and on-site projects designed to improve the natural beauty and bio-diversity of the school site.

We are extremely proud to note that the RHS staff present emailed the school to thank us for an ‘inspirational’ presentation and are in continued dialogue with us to assist us in developing our school gardening programme further.

A huge thank you to Mr Mirhashem for organising the trip and we wish him all the very best in his new school.
