On Tuesday 23rd January, Cheam PEP students travelled by bus and underground to Westminster. They walked to the Houses of Parliament and after the security checks, were taken on a guided tour. They were able to go into the House of Lords but not into the Commons as the house was sitting. They were fascinated by the ‘New Dawn’ light installation (by Mary Branson) which changes colour as the Thames rises and falls with the tide.

They didn’t meet the Prime Minister, but he was addressing the Commons at 12.30pm and could be seen on the monitor in the café.
