On the afternoon of Thursday 19th July, 19 Year 12 students had the exciting opportunity to visit Epsom College for a university preparation event, accompanied by Mrs Pridding.

A representative from the University of Surrey delivered an engaging session on writing standout personal statements, offering valuable advice on how to showcase skills, experiences, and aspirations effectively. Meanwhile, students considering careers in medicine attended a dedicated talk led by current medical students, who shared first hand insights and guidance on applying to study medicine at university.

Following the talks, students explored a university fair held in a large marquee set on the school’s impressive grounds. With over 35 universities exhibiting, it was a fantastic chance for students to speak directly with representatives, ask thoughtful questions, and gather resources to support their next steps.

A huge well done to all the students who attended for their enthusiasm and curiosity.
