Year 13 History Trip to Hampton Court
The Year 13 History class have been studying Tudor Disorder and Rebellion and were lucky to have the opportunity to visit Hampton Court, on Thursday 1st February, for a study skills session.
The students found out about a range of mid-tudor crises that occurred at Hampton Court, including, for example the crisis over Mary I’s phantom pregnancy and Elizabeth I’s near death from smallpox.
The students were able to look at a range of historical sources and consider what they suggested about power and influence in tudor times. We were also given a guided tour of Hampton Court and discovered exactly where these events took place.
We all had a really enjoyable and educational time, learning new and interesting facts, all of which will assist in the students’ final A Level exam.
