World Book Day
To celebrate World Book Day, Year 7 tutor groups were set an inter-tutor challenge to decorate their classroom doors as a book cover. This year they were inspired by space and science-fiction with it being 50 years since man landed on the moon. Miss Ingram, Miss Ward and Mrs McKone were really impressed with the high standard of entries and it was clear that tutor groups had gone to a lot of effort.
The results were: First - 7PO, Second - 7TR, Joint third - 7CM and 7DK.
Congratulations to the winners and well done to all tutor groups for their enthusiasm and hard work in taking part and completing this challenge.
Also as part of our World Book Day celebrations, the students were set a quiz to find various science-fiction answers from clues around the school. Well done to the many students who got every single question right. The students who were the fastest and got every question correct were: First - Ben Charnley 7DM, Second - Izzie Webb 9YG, Joint third – Lovine Ngoyi 8LO and Naadirah Abdullahi Tanko 7DM.
Also, a mention must go to Jimmy Hurley 9WR for being the first student to complete the quiz.
