January update from Mr Naudi

Dear Parents/Carers,

I do hope that you had a good Christmas holiday and we look forward to the return of your children to school on Tuesday 4th January.  As you are aware, Covid testing will be taking place on site when students return to school.  I would also like to encourage all families to carry out tests at home on either Monday 3rd or the morning of Tuesday 4th.  Please continue to record test results on the testregister site.

The only change we will be making for the students’ return, as per new DFE guidance is from 4th January 2022 face coverings should be worn in classrooms by students unless they are exempt. This does not apply in situations where wearing a face covering would impact on the ability to take part in exercise or strenuous activity, for example in PE lessons. This is a temporary measure and will be reviewed.  Students must also continue to wear face coverings when moving around inside the premises such as in corridors and communal areas.  Students do not need to wear face coverings outside of buildings except for the Main Hall lunch/break queue.

Please ensure that your child has a face covering each day. It must not become the responsibility of the school to offer and provide face coverings as we must continue to focus upon our normal work.

I recognise that these restrictions are not what any of us wanted, but together we will prevail.

Thank you for your continued support.

Regards

Mr Naudi
