Literacy Support Coordinator 

 

Salary paid at CAN salary scale point 17 (£22,447 FTE, £12,876 actual pro-rata salary). 25 hours per week; term time only (188 working days).

 

The Trustees and Governors are seeking to appoint an exceptionally well qualified and talented Literacy Support Coordinator.  The successful candidate will work with the English department in leading the work that the department does on developing the literacy of students across the school as well as working in our Learning Resource Centre (LRC). The successful candidate will have a clear commitment to understanding and developing literacy skills to help to improve young people’s life chances.

 

This is a non-teaching post in which the successful candidate will be directed in their role by the Director of English (and other members of the English department as directed by the Director of English) and the Assistant Headteacher responsible for whole school literacy.  In particular, the role will involve working closely on developing the reading and literacy programmes that the school already has in place and building on these.
