German Speaking Foreign Language Assistant (Voluntary)
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a fluent German speaker to gain experience of working in a school environment by supporting German language students to develop their speaking and listening skills as they prepare for their exams.
The role will include working with A Level and GCSE students, both in lessons and on a one to one conversational basis, as well as assisting the German department with the preparation of resources.
Fluent German and an in depth knowledge of German society and culture are essential.
The Modern Foreign Language Department is a close-knit, dedicated and sociable team who are passionate about their subjects and promoting an understanding and appreciation of other cultures. Languages are taught in a communicative and interactive way which enables students to become competent communicators and develop as global citizens.
This is a voluntary role. Cheam High School and the Cheam Academies Network are not able to offer any re-imbursement of costs. The hours of work are flexible within the school day.
Candidates must have the right to reside and work in the UK and will be required to undertake a fully enhanced Disclosure and Barring check. An overseas police check or equivalent will be required for any period of time spent outside of the UK during the last 5 years.
