A huge round of applause goes out to Grace and Monet from 12HG/HZ for their incredible initiative last Friday, 8th May!

To celebrate the legendary Sir David Attenborough’s 100th birthday, the duo went truly above and beyond by baking a spectacular Earth-themed birthday cake. Knowing Sir David’s personal tastes, they whipped up a delicious lemon drizzle - his absolute favourite - decorated to represent the planet he has spent a century protecting.

The cake was a massive hit, shared and enjoyed by both their tutor group and geography class. It was a thoughtful, creative, and tasty way to honour a global icon.

A massive thank you to Grace and Monet for bringing the department together and marking such a momentous occasion with such flair!

Such an honour to have Sir David join us on his special day!
