Eco-Schools Project

Cheam High School is really excited to be launching a new initiative, Eco-Schools.

This is run in conjunction with a charity that works with schools all over the world to empower students in their schools to make positive changes within their school environment, helping the whole school community become more environmentally friendly and sustainable.

The School Council are involved but the project is open to any student, in any year, who has a passion for the environment and wants to make positive change. The project begins with a detailed audit of how we use our different resources and also of how we dispose of our waste. This will form the basis of an action plan which will lead to students driving change for how the school functions in relation to the environment.

There has already been lots of interest surrounding this. If there are any other students or even parents/carers who would like to contribute to this in some way, please contact Miss Watson at school - she will be very happy to hear from you!
