Year 10s in Cornwall
On 20th September, 38 GCSE students from the Year 10 Fine Art and Photography groups set off – very early in the morning! – to Cornwall.
Over four busy days, they explored many different environments, visited galleries and sculpture gardens and even found time to experience the longest zip wire in England, over the Eden Project.
As part of their coursework, the art students worked tirelessly to draw and record at the galleries, beaches, Eden Project and Stonehenge while photography students experimented with capturing textures, crashing waves, natural forms and landscapes at these sites.
The students will be able to use this work to help develop their ideas in their current projects.
I would like to thank our well-mannered students for their fantastic conscientious attitudes to their learning and also Miss Boyd and Mr Lyle for giving up their time to ensure the trip ran so effectively.
