ECO PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION
As it’s World Environment Day we thought it would be the perfect time to update you on our eco photography competition.
Firstly, we thank everyone for the brilliant entries! Many have already been shared on the Eco Committee Instagram account @cheamhigheco and many more will be shared over coming days.
After much deliberation, however, judges selected three winning shots which you can see below. Congratulations to our three winners – look out for your eco-themed prizes in the post very soon!
Megan, y9: Judges were impressed by the composition and contrasting textures in this shot and felt that the upside down sphere reflected current global difficulties very well. The graffiti and the trees make a striking contrast between natural beauty and that created by humans.
Jack, y7: Judges loved the contrast between the blue sky, the dark branches and the blossom – a perfect representation of Spring and a sign of hope in difficult times.
Georgie, y8: Judges enjoyed the perspective on this shot – the world as seen from the eyes of a field mouse! They also appreciated the dandelion rising from the mown grass: a sign of nature’s determination to grow and succeed!
Thank you again to all who took part and a happy World Environment Day 2020 to all!
