Salary starts at CAN scale point 17 (£19,192 actual, £22,447 full time equivalent) for 36 hours per week, term time plus 7 days (195 working days).  Of the additional 7 non-term time working days, 2 days are directed time on staff training days to be worked at the start of the academic year.  The additional 5 days are to be worked during school closure and arranged with the Science Team Leader. 

 

The Science Support member of staff will work within the Science Department to support the smooth running of the Department and provide general technician and curriculum support, as well as some support in practical science lessons. 

 

The role is line managed by the Science Team Leader and, when appropriate, Director of Science or attached member of the Leadership Team.  Day to day management of your duties would normally be via the Science Team Leader or Director of Science.
