Year Manager
Cheam High School are recruiting for a Year Manager. This is a non-teaching post, which will give the successful candidate an excellent opportunity to work closely with young people supporting them in their school life.
Hours between 8 am and 4 pm most school days (with lunch of 30 minutes and a further break of 30 minutes each day) and with an additional 30 minutes to be worked between 7.30am to 8.00am and/or 4.00pm to 4.30pm, for example the working day could be 7.45am to 4.15pm with breaks. There is also time for occasional meetings outside this time as required. Additional 30 minutes each day to be agreed with your line manager.
Salary will be based on CAN scale point 25 (£27,867 actual, £30,225 full time equivalent) for 36 hours per week, term time plus 12 days (200 working days). However, due to the additional hours required for this role. Your salary will actually be based on term time plus 22 days (210 Working Days) which is incorporated in the timings above.
The role is varied and responsible and is line managed by the attached leadership member, though day to-day matters will be co-ordinated by the Year Leader. The Year Manager will be expected to work closely with staff at all levels in both teaching and support roles as well as with parents/carers and students. See job description for full details.
