Congratulations to Janarth in Year 13 who recently achieved a Bronze certificate in Round One of the British Physics Olympiad competition. To even be entered to Round One is an achievement in itself. Over 9500 students from 599 UK schools and 80 overseas (excluding China which has a separate competition) took part in the preliminary competition (Round 0) and only the top 5% of these were then put through to Round One.

The competition is highly regarded by universities as it puts students' problem solving skills to the test with questions which are beyond the scope of the normal A-level Physics content.

Well done to Janarth for this impressive achievement and being the only one of our current Year 13 Physicists to have reached this stage.
