Scholastic Book Fair - Update
Posted: 10/06/26
The Book Fair has been an incredible success so far this week and has generated a huge amount of excitement. The library has been packed throughout break and lunchtime, with a constant stream of students eager to browse and buy books.
It's been fantastic to see so many students making purchases, not only picking up the latest releases and popular titles but also stepping outside their usual reading habits and exploring new genres. We've also had several students buying books for friends and siblings, which has been lovely to see and really demonstrates the wider impact of promoting reading.
The buzz around the fair has been fantastic, with students talking about their purchases, recommending books to each other, and returning multiple times to browse. The level of engagement has exceeded expectations!
A big thank you to all staff and students who have supported the Book Fair and made it such a tremendous success. It has been a pleasure to run the event and witness the excitement, enthusiasm, and love of reading it has inspired.
We hope everyone enjoys their book purchases. Happy reading!

We are delighted to let you know that we will be hosting a Scholastic Book Fair in the library from Monday 8th June and continuing throughout the week.
Scholastic will be supplying mobile bookcases stocked with over 200 of the newest and most popular books from more than 60 publishers, including a number of exclusive titles that are not typically available in shops. Students will have the opportunity to browse the fair during break and lunchtime each day.
To make purchasing as simple as possible, we will be operating a Wish List system. While visiting the fair, students can complete a wish list of any books they would like and take the form home. Parents and carers can then scan the QR code on the slip and pay online at bookfairs.scholastic.co.uk/pay.
Once payment has been completed, a 7-digit purchase confirmation number will be generated. We can view these confirmations through our Scholastic account and will then distribute the books directly to students.
We are also pleased to offer additional support for students who receive Pupil Premium funding. These students will be able to select books from the fair at no cost, up to a value of £15. To take advantage of this opportunity, students simply need to let us know which book(s) they would like, and we will arrange for them to be purchased.
As this year marks the National Year of Reading, we are keen to encourage reading for pleasure and help students discover books that inspire, entertain and challenge them. We hope the Book Fair will provide an exciting opportunity for students to explore new authors, develop a lifelong love of reading and find books that they genuinely enjoy.
Thank you for your support, and we look forward to a successful Book Fair.
